About

I was born in 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden, and have been immersed in creative expression since childhood. My journey began in the high-fashion world, where I worked with Lorenzo Riva in Milan. In 1997, I relocated to Singapore, marking the start of my artistic career with my first gallery contract. Since then South East Asia became my home .

My primary focus is contemporary figurative art, which delves into the complexities of human experience and existence. Over time, my work has evolved into more abstract and intuitive forms. Living in Asia, surrounded by diverse cultures and religions, has deepened my awareness of the spiritual aspects of life.

My artistic process is rooted in raw materials, as I believe in establishing a dialogue with them. I personally stitch my canvases and prepare them, even creating my own charcoal for drawing. I embrace a direct approach, favoring spontaneity over perfection, and I find beauty in imperfection. Often using my hands, I allow gesture, touch, and the natural behavior of materials to guide my creative journey.

My recent body of work incorporates various mediums, characterized by dynamic mark-making, vibrant colors, and the physicality of brushstrokes that reflect my presence and actions. I refer to this collection as "Water Lilies," drawing inspiration from ancient Greek mythology. Water lilies symbolize more than mere plants; they represent the nymphs—minor female deities of nature, rivers, and springs—embodying purity and platonic love. I also interpret them as representations of life's cycles, reflecting the many transitions we experience, such as birth and death.

Through my art, I explore the emotional and spiritual dimensions of silence, presence, and mindful attention.
